About me

Hi, I am Lakshadeep. I like working with mobile robots. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD at SDU Robotics, Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark. I work at the intersection of vision, motion, and interaction for mobile robots.

Many tasks performed by mobile service robots today involve navigation (approaching objects) and manipulation (interacting with objects). Navigation and manipulation are often addressed sequentially as separate tasks. Planning manipulation while navigating towards the object can enhance the time-efficiency of mobile manipulation.

In my PhD research, I am investigating ways to enhance the time-efficiency of mobile manipulation by strategically planning manipulation actions while navigating towards the target object.
